Visions of Boxing Day

Canadians Enjoy Boxing Day

Boxing Day brings pleasure to shoppers. Not everyone, however, has embraced the metric system.

Ancient holidays can also be great times to get great deals. Though its origins are  obscure, Boxing Day is still celebrated throughout the commonwealth, the United Kingdom, and various nations that still portray the English Queen on their currency. December 26th,  St. Stephen’s day, or the Day of the Wren is to citizens of the British Imperial Diaspora what Black Friday is to Americans. A day of great sales. A day that, at least in Canada, is now a week.

Here is just one of the many offerings spotted while strolling Bank St., Ottawa, Canada. Keep up with the fun stuff, Oh Canada. Don’t stop till you get enough.
